Nah, no decisiveness on her part - one husband, stick with a pregant daughter, worked her way up, a Down's baby - let's kick her to the curb. The woman is more like me and you (and I'm not patronizing) that, IMO, anyone who has ran for office in our lifetime. She isn't wealthy, her husband is a blue collar worker, she fully understands the vagaries and problems with being a working mom/wife/politician. That alone warrants my vote - nothing about McCain - I'm voting for the lady. I only wish she and McCain would pull an Obama and flip-flop roles! A great role model she is - I've been blessed to have been married to one woman for 21 years, has given me 5 children - and I guarantee she has the sense, fiscal understanding, ability to make hard decisions to run this country. Nothing is more difficult than successfully running a home - and I believe Palin can and will do a great job. Being a mom is the greatest, most difficult job in the world. If she applies the same principles to the VP job, then I'm sure she will do fine </div></div>

You're my new hero on the LPD forum. Great post, and I totally agree.

    Absolutely right.

And I guess all the "present" votes by B. HUSSEIN shows decisiveness?? Give me a break.

Absolutely stupid. Why don't you avail yourself to me now, so that I can check up on you in 15 years and scrutinize your decisions as a young adult? </div></div>

Exactly what I was going to say. I thank God that I've not been judged by my decisions from the ages of 18-22. There are few 18 year olds, or 19-22 years olds as far as that goes, who know exactly what they want to do with their lives. Most of us just muddle through, and find out what it's all about in later years.

Tell me why that is wrong then. All I hear is "Dumb, you are wrong, stupid" but 95% of the time fail to tell me why, typical though.

His experience as an officer gives him plenty of executive experience. Pilots are trained to make snap decisions based on their training, technological input, and the situation at hand. Do you know what "executive" means? An officer don't make the rules in the military, nor does he interpret them. He simply obeys the rules and carries those orders out to the letter. He is also charged with making sure that others carry out those rules/orders. Saying that an officer in the military has no executive experience is like saying that Britney Spears is a virgin.

You must be referring to someone else, as I don't recall doing any of the aforementioned.

    My 2 cents worth:

    1. You're young, and though you may not realize it now, you have been greatly influenced by education, by biased individuals, by your own mindsets.
    2. Churchill said something to the effect that if you're 20 and not a liberal, you don't have a heart; if you're 40 and not conservative, you don't have a brain. Life's experiences will greatly influence your political views.
    3. Be open to what older folks have to say, and WHY they say it -expereince is a master teacher.
    4. Seek unbiased information - nothing in life is as rewarding as arriving at independent truth - which may be very unnerving at times as well.
    5. Never become so dogmatic as you can't see the other opinion. Always seek truth, regardless of the feathers it may ruffle.
